Energy data portal · The Sustainability Place Version 2026-09-01
They cover your use of our energy data portal. They are written to be read, so if anything is unclear please ask — support@mysustainabilityplace.com.
Where we say "you", we mean you personally as the account holder. Where we say "your organisation", we mean the company we have the agreement with.
It shows sub-meter consumption for the sites your organisation has been given access to, and lets you download reports and data covering those sites.
Access is granted per site. You will see the sites we have been asked to share with your organisation, and no others.
Your account is yours alone. Please do not share your password or let anyone sign in as you.
Tell us if you think someone else has used your account, or if a colleague with an account has left your organisation. We will close it the same day.
You can change your password at any time from your account, and ask us to close it whenever you wish.
Data is released to your account on the schedule agreed with your organisation:
Between releases the figures will not change, even though our collection continues in the background. The portal always shows the date your data is current to, and the download screen tells you the latest date available.
Consumption is calculated from readings taken by sub-meters and collected via rayleighconnect. We report what the meters record.
Where a meter has not reported, the report says so rather than filling the gap. Where a register has been replaced or has rolled over, that interval is counted as zero and noted, rather than estimated.
Where you choose a selection of meters, the report states that it covers a selection and is not a total for the site.
Any costs shown are indicative only. They apply the unit rate and standing charge we hold on file, and exclude capacity charges, reactive power, the Climate Change Levy and settlement adjustments.
They are not an invoice, are not a substitute for your supplier's bill, and must not be used to charge a tenant or to settle a dispute about consumption.
If you need figures for billing, please talk to us first.
You may use the data and reports to manage the sites they relate to. That includes sharing them inside your organisation, and with the building's owner or occupiers.
Please do not present them as independently verified or certified consumption figures, or as a billing document — see section 5.
We hold your email address, a hashed version of your password (we never see the password itself), and a record of when you signed in and what you viewed or downloaded.
We keep that record because we run a service where clients are kept separate from one another, and being able to say who accessed which client's data is part of doing that properly.
You can export everything we hold about you from your own account, at any time. Our privacy notice sets out the detail, including how long we keep things.
Consumption data for a commercial building is not personal data — it relates to a floor or a circuit, not to a person. Where a site includes homes, that changes, and we will agree the arrangements with you before collecting anything.
We aim to keep the portal available and to hold your data safely, with backups. We cannot promise it will never be unavailable, and we may take it offline for maintenance.
If something goes wrong at our end, we will tell you.
Your organisation, or we, may end portal access in line with the agreement between us. We will normally give notice first.
Anything you have already downloaded remains yours. We will confirm what happens to the data we hold.
We may publish an updated version. You will be asked to accept it the next time you sign in, and your access continues in the meantime.
Your acceptance of an earlier version is kept, because it records what applied at the time.
